CDHRF alarms: Election campaign, Kosovo’s Wuhan
The election campaign of political parties for the elections of February 14, 2021 in Kosovo has escalated and is posing a serious risk to public health and the health of the citizens of Kosovo. This is what the CDHRF says, which called the campaign of political parties as “Kosovo’s Wuhan for the spread of COVID-19. The CDHRF proposes that fines be imposed in all cases where anti-corruption measures are not respected, while those imposed on political entities should be capital. The funds collected from these fines should go to a special fund for families in dire financial straits and those families who have family members who have died from Covid-19.
The CDHRF calls on all political entities that are part of the campaign for the February 14 elections to show institutional responsibility and respect the anti-Covid measures and thus contribute to the protection of citizens' health. The CDHRF estimates that after the elections, the number of cases of Covid-19 infection will increase, as well as the number of victims.
