8 deaths and 709 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the last 24 hours in Kosovo. This was announced by the National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo (NIPHK). During the last 24 hours, in the Laboratory of Molecular Microbiology in NIPHK and private laboratories with RT-PCR method, as well as in public and private laboratories with RAT method, were tested a total of 4,388 samples taken from UCHSK and tracking of case contacts in the field, of which 709 cases resulted positive. The total number of positive cases is 79,089 cases out of 366,574 persons suspected of being infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, while the total number of deaths is 1,731. During the last 24 hours, 385 patients have been cured, the total number of cured to date is 65,979 cases, while the number of active cases is 11,379.
