The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has said that the Kaçanik Constitution marks the first act in the creation of Kosovo's constitutional order.

Today, when it is 32 years since the Kaçanik Constitution, Osmani has also said that with it, the efforts of whole generations for an independent state have been strengthened.

"The then representatives of the Assembly, on September 7, 1990, answered the needs of the country and immortalized in the Constitution the will of the citizens they represented, finally sealing the effort for freedom, democracy and an independent state. They challenged a regime, laying the unshakable foundations of independent Kosovo", she wrote on Facebook.
