The new law on traffic rules, which will enter into force on April 3 of this year, foresees high fines for violators of traffic rules. Experts say that the law, which aims to increase road safety, has shortcomings and express skepticism about its implementation, while citizens demand tougher fines. The traffic expert, Bekim Ahmeti, told KosovaPress that before the law came into force, it was necessary to start with the use of mobile and static cameras and radars, as the problem lies in the identification of persons who violate the law and order in traffic.

Meanwhile, the citizen Shaip Dushi told KosovaPress that the fine of 150 euros is nothing compared to the damage that can be caused to health, as a result of not using the safety belt in traffic.

Likewise, Nol Sokoli, who has the same opinion, says that the fines are not high because, according to him, most drivers use the phone while driving. He says that the new law will not be implemented in practice. Otherwise, according to the new law, the fine for not wearing a safety belt will cost 150 euros, using the phone while driving will cost 100 euros for the first time and 500 euros for the third time. However, for speed it will depend on how much the speed will be exceeded per kilometer per hour. /A. saddle/
