Orges Arifi is declared runner-up of Europe in karate
The karate player prishtinas Orges Arifi has been declared the runner-up of the 59th European karate championship that is being held in Zare, Croatia. Arifi competed under the Red and Black flag, in the category up to 60 kilograms, where in the final he lost to the reigning world champion Kristos Xenos from Greece. While the karate player from Kosovo Fortesa Orana suffered a loss for the bronze medal in the category over 68 kilograms. Valera Qerimi was defeated in the category up to 68 kilograms, thus finishing in fifth place. Albania participates in the championship with five karate players. The European Karate Championship, in which 51 countries are participating, ends on May 12.
