Luiza Gega has triumphed in the 3000-meter steeplechase race and equaled the record of the Bulgarian athlete Ivet Lalova-Collio, as the most successful athlete in the history of the European athletics championships with 11 victories and two runner-up finishes.

The Albanian athlete, who is showing an excellent form in the European athletics championship, which is taking place in Krakow, Poland, has also managed to triumph in the 3000 meter steeplechase, capturing the record time of 9:17.31. This result of hers has given the Albanian team 15 more points in the European athletics championship that has been taking place for several days in Poland.

A few days ago, Gega also won in the 5 meters race, while today was the main day for the red and black athlete, who won in her discipline in the 3 meters hurdles. The European Athletics Federation has congratulated the success achieved by the Albanian athlete on social networks.

She succeeded, she won the championship breaking a record! Luiza Gega is tied with Ivet Lalova-Collio (BUL) as the most successful athlete in the history of European athletics championships with 11 victories and two runners-up.
