Zogaj: The Draft Law on Salaries unacceptable to the judiciary

The chairman of the Kosovo Judicial Council, Albert Zogaj, says that the Draft Law on Salaries, which is currently under public discussion, is unacceptable for the judicial system. Zogaj shares the same opinion about the Draft Law on Public Officials. According to him, both these laws endanger the judicial system and the independence of the system.

Zogaj, in an interview for KosovaPress, states that both of these documents are not in the KJC's expectations, as the Draft Law on Salaries reduces judges' salaries by up to 40%, while for Public Officials it complicates the recruitment procedures for the administration staff.
