Wright: UK companies are looking to invest in Kosovo's mining sector

The Kosovo Chamber of Mines has organized today for the first time the Kosovo Mining Forum, with the main purpose of bringing all parties closer, to study the possibilities of the development of the industry, through cooperation and open discussions. In this forum it was said that a number of companies in the United Kingdom are investing, and are looking to invest in the mining sector of Kosovo.

The director of this chamber, Mentor Demi, has said that this forum will influence the change of the legal infrastructure, which, according to him, in some cases hinders the development of this industry.

Also, Sophie Wright the Head of Economic and Governance Programs from the British Embassy in Kosovo, has stated that a number of companies in the United Kingdom are investing, and are looking to invest in the mining sector of Kosovo.

Meanwhile, the deputy minister of the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Mentor Arifaj, has added that it is also necessary to develop the part of the relevant industry related to these sectors.
