The Municipality of Pristina inaugurated the start of construction work on George Bush Square in Pristina on Monday, as part of a project to expand the capital’s main square, KosovaPress reports.

According to the municipality, this project aims to create more pedestrian spaces and improve urban infrastructure. The Mayor of Pristina, Përparim Rama, stated that this project is an important step towards transforming the city center.

The construction work, valued at over 18 million euros, is expected to last for one year. The project covers the area from ‘Mother Teresa’ Cathedral to ‘Zahir Pajaziti’ Square in the center of Pristina, KosovaPress writes.
