Mefail Bajqinovci of the Vetëvendosje Movement (LVV) has called on opposition parties not to close the door on finding a solution for the presidency.

After yesterday’s failure to find a solution for the presidency, he said that the opposition should not send the country to new elections, but should continue working until April 28 to find a solution for the presidency.

“Doors should not be closed by the opposition. I think the statements we heard yesterday from PDK and LDK about closing the doors are wrong. The opposition should not send the country to elections, as has happened twice in 2025. I think there is an attempt for Mr. Kurti not to govern the country and to be brought down, and not that the issue is the presidency position. I think it was a generous offer, and knowing how the votes are distributed, we have almost 52 percent, and LDK has 15 MPs, it was a generous offer for LDK. The opposition should not close the doors, as there is still time to find a solution,” he said.
