The Vetëvendosje aims to convince international allies that the national minority council is an alternative of the Association of Serb Municipalities in Kosovo. Members of the party that governs the country, say that such an idea is equivalent to minorities in the countries of the region and does not endanger the internal functioning of Kosovo. While, they reiterate the position against the establishment of the Association.

The Vetëvendosje MP, Artan Abrashi, told KosovaPress, that the request for implementation of the association agreement has always been the attitude of the embassies in Kosovo and is not their latest pressure, but according to him, they will correct the then irresponsibility of the political class.
