The former president of Montenegro, Filip Vujanovic, believes that the peace and stability of the western region must be ensured by the states of the Western Balkans, and that neither the European Union nor the United States of America should be held responsible, since we ourselves are responsible to agree.

Vujanovic, at the conference of the Universal Peace Federation "Peace, stability and demographic transition in the Western Balkans", said that very often in the multilateral meetings between Albania and Montenegro, they have raised the issue of regional cooperation.

According to him, we must all build the future in the western region together.

He added that the six countries of the region are responsible for peace in the region, but also Europe, to which this part belongs.

"Strengthening peace and stability in the Western Balkans must also be achieved through interstate cooperation, which is established by the European Union with the Western Balkan countries… The peace and stability of the Western region must be ensured by the Western Balkan countries themselves, let's not transfer your responsibility to someone else, neither to the European Union, nor to the United States of America, as we ourselves are responsible to agree. Agree, reach this agreement as friends because we are very close and we should agree to respect regional cooperation and not as it seems, they spoke earlier through the interests of individual states and if we do not agree on this and if we do not reach an agreement for this, but even if we are not able to respect the state borders in bilateral relations, let us respect the European union. Who else will we cooperate with besides the European Union", he said.

He called for all countries to respect the cooperation of the common regional market.
