Vjosa Osmani - The President of Kosovo
The most voted woman in the last parliamentary elections, Vjosa Osmani from the List “Guxo”, part of the Vetëvendosje Movement in the Assembly, has been elected the new head of state of Kosovo. Today, in the third round of voting for president in the Assembly, which was attended by 82 MPs, she received the necessary 61 votes.
Yesterday, due to the lack of a quorum, the Assembly failed to elect the country's president. In the race for president, Vetëvendosje nominated Vjosa Osmani. Meanwhile, her opponent was Nasuf Bejta.
