The Vetëvendosje movement has asked the Central Election Commission to postpone the application deadline for certification of political subjects who want to participate in the elections in the north of the country.

This is what KosovaPress sources say, according to which, VV is asking for this deadline to be postponed until November 26.

The country's president, Vjosa Osmani, has set December 18 as the day when elections should be held in the north. Meanwhile, the deadline for the certification of political subjects for the elections in the north of the country ends today.

It remains for the CEC to hold an extraordinary meeting today and review this request.

The Central Election Commission had notified all political parties, independent candidates, coalitions and citizen initiatives, which want to participate in the extraordinary elections for mayor in the municipalities of North Mitrovica, Zubin Potok, Leposavic and Zveçan, that the deadline for application for certification of political entities and candidates for participation in the elections began on November 15 and will end on November 21, 2022.
