Kadri Veseli, one of the leading figures of the Kosovo Liberation Army, has pleaded not guilty before the Specialized Chambers in The Hague on charges of alleged war crimes. At the first hearing against Veseli, lawyer Ben Emmerson, demanded his release until the beginning of the trial.

The former chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, declared that he is innocent of all charges against him.
