Today, President Vjosa Osmani dismissed the chairwoman of the Central Election Commission, Valdete Daka. The decision was made today, after the refusal for Daka to resign. It is expected that in the following hours the full reasons for this decision will be announced. Earlier in the day, KosovaPress learned that President Osmani had asked Daka to resign in exchange for public gratitude for her work, but Daka had refused. Daka gave her last interview to KosovaPress where she talked about the preparations for the organization of the elections and that she did not intend to resign.
