The head of the UNMIK mission, Caroline Ziadeh, met today with the prime minister of Albania, Edi Rama, with whom she discussed the dialogue process in Brussels between Kosovo and Serbia, as well as initiatives for regional cooperation.

Ziadeh commended and encouraged Albiania’s constructive participation in regional dialogue to maintain good neighbourly relations and stability in the Western Balkans.

The Head of UNMIK re-emphasised that Prishtina and Belgrade must address outstanding issues in good faith within the framework of the EU-facilitated Dialogue, capitalizing on the engagement and hard-won gains over the past 11 years.

She also reiterated the UNMIK’s continued support for the people of Kosovo, focusing on building better inter-ethnic relations at all levels.
