Turkey doubles its export to Kosovo; support for local producers is required

As a result of the Kosovo-Turkey trade agreement for the removal of customs duties for a large number of products, mainly industrial, Turkey has doubled its export to Kosovo in the last four years. This agreement, which entered into force in 2019, has made Turkey surpass Germany as the largest importer in our country.

According to the data of the Kosovo Agency of Statistics, during the year 2022, Turkey was the main trading partner of Kosovo, and the situation remains the same even in the first four months of this year.

In the last ten years, Kosovo has imported goods from Turkey worth about 4.5 billion euros, whereas Kosovo, for the same period of time, has exported about 120 million euros of goods to the Turkish state...
