U.S. President Donald Trump has praised Kosovo in a letter of thanks sent to former President Vjosa Osmani on the occasion of the end of her mandate.
In the letter dated April 8, which Osmani published today (Tuesday), Trump emphasized that Kosovo has played an important role in peace and stability initiatives.
“We have accomplished a great deal together in a short period of time - especially our collaboration on the Board of Peace. Kosovo’s participation in this groundbreaking initiative will play a tremendous role in ending conflicts across the globe, while fostering freedom and prosperity for both of our people,” the letter states.Through this letter, Trump also praised former President Osmani, describing her role as courageous and decisive in service of Kosovo’s citizens.
On this occasion, Osmani said she welcomes continued cooperation in the years ahead. “I thank President Trump for the letter sent at the end of my mandate, which I received last night, as well as for the appreciation of our work! As the U.S. President also emphasizes in this letter, we welcome the continuation of cooperation in the coming years,” Osmani wrote on Facebook.Trump also thanked Osmani for close cooperation during her mandate, highlighting Kosovo’s involvement in efforts to end conflicts.
