The former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and the Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama will today visit Prishtina, a visit which coincides with the liberation of Kosovo 25 years ago.

Blair, who played a leading role during the 1999 NATO bombing campaign that halted the advances of Serbian occupation forces and helped Kosovo gain independence, will address Kosovo MPs from 10:00.

The great friend of the Albanians during the day will be received in the meeting by the first of the capital Përparim Rama at 12:30. During this meeting in the facility of the old building of the Municipality of Prishtina, the former British Prime Minister will be honored with the Key of the City and Honorary Citizen of the Capital awards.

The Key to the City Award will also be presented to the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, during the meeting with the Prime Minister of Prishtina from 16:00.

Edi Rama is invited to participate in the first panel of the international conference "Rugova and the West", organized by the Democratic League of Kosovo and the Ibrahim Rugova Foundation, starting at 11:00.
