Today is International Civil Aviation Day
The celebration of International Civil Aviation Day helps to generate and strengthen global awareness of the importance of civil aviation for the social and economic development of countries, as well as the unique role of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to help countries cooperate and realize a rapid global transit in the service of humanity.
As the UN adopted the 2030 Agenda and ushering in a new era in sustainable global development, the importance of aviation as a global connectivity engine has never been more relevant to the Chicago Convention objectives of seeing international flight as a fundamental enabler for peace and prosperity in the world.
