The New Year celebration in "Skënderbej" square in Tirana culminated at 00:00 on the evening of December 31, where thousands of citizens welcomed the New Year.

The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, along with artists and citizens, counted down to welcome the New Year 2023. After the countdown, a fireworks show lit up the capital.

There were many who awaited the arrival of the New Year in "Skënderbej" square in Tirana, but there was no lack of festive atmosphere in other districts of the country, where citizens and their relatives "welcomed" 2023 in the city centers.

In Tirana, the celebration started in the evening with the festive New Year's concert, where well-known Albanian singers performed.
