Today it has been three years since the victory of Vetëvendosje (VV) in the elections of February 14, 2021. The government led by Prime Minister Albin Kurti, according to political analysts, has not brought major changes in the development of the country, but they emphasize the role of the executive in establishing the rule of law in the northern part of the country. According to them, during the leadership of Kurti, the north is breathing differently than before and the criminal and terrorist groups are being fought there.

The political analyst, Arton Demhasaj, tells KosovaPress that in the north there is more extent of the rule of law, but according to him, the country continues to remain under punitive measures of the European Union due to the non-announcement of new elections in the north.

On the other hand, another political analyst, Gazmir Raci, says that extending sovereignty to the north is the greatest success of the Kurti Government.

He told KosovaPress that the executive has an extraordinary result in the destruction of criminal groups in the north and the fight against smuggling.

However, the analyst Demahasaj adds that the Kurti Government has been weak on the internal level, as it has not implemented any reforms or changes that would be tangible for the citizens.

He mentions the departments of education, health, reforms in justice and economic development where the Kurti Government has failed the most.

According to him, Kurti has made no progress either in the international strengthening of Kosovo, securing new recognitions or membership in any international organization.

The ruling party, Vetëvendosje, won over 50 percent of the votes in the 2021 elections, where it alone formed the government cabinet.
