It has been more than three years since Kosovo has no law on strategic investments. Meanwhile, the Draft Law on Sustainable Investments adopted in January this year by the Government has not yet been reviewed in principle in the Assembly of Kosovo for approval.

The representatives of Chambers express their concerned for the absence of this law. According to them, this law should be passed to the Assembly as soon as possible, otherwise the country is losing numerous foreign investors.

Whereas, opposition parties consider that the adoption of a strategic investment law in the country is indispensable, but with changes from the government adopted. According to them, the government has stalled in the adoption of this law. Meanwhile, from the position they say that the law on sustainable investment is on the agenda at the first session that the Assembly will hold.
