Within one day, three people were arrested in Mokra Gora, Zubin Potok, after they were caught cutting wood in a forest on state-owned land.

The Kosovo Police said in its 24-hour report that further details were provided regarding the cases.

In the first case, two suspects were found cutting wood in the forest, while one other fled the scene. A van and a chainsaw were confiscated.

“Police units, after receiving information about the case, together with officials from the Kosovo Forestry Agency (KFA), went to the scene and found two male Kosovo suspects cutting wood in a forest on state-owned property. One of the suspects was arrested, while the other fled the scene. In consultation with the prosecutor, the van and a chainsaw were confiscated, and the suspect was released after being interviewed under regular procedure,” the report states.

A similar case occurred in the second incident, where the suspect was arrested and a van and chainsaw were seized.

“Police units, after receiving information about the case, together with officials from the KFA, went to the scene and found a male Kosovo suspect cutting wood in a forest on state-owned property. The suspect was arrested, and the van and chainsaw were confiscated. In consultation with the prosecutor, the suspect was released after being interviewed under regular procedure,” the report states.

In the third case, after the arrest, a tractor with a trailer and two chainsaws were confiscated.

“Police units, after receiving information about the case, together with officials from the KFA, went to the scene and found the male Kosovo suspect cutting wood in a forest on state-owned property. The suspect was arrested, while the tractor with a trailer and two chainsaws were seized,” the report states.

It is further noted that, in consultation with the prosecutor, the suspect was released after being interviewed under regular procedure.
