MPs have once again failed to constitute the Assembly in the final session before the deadline set by the Constitutional Court takes effect. This was the second attempt in a single day, where once again the vote was held on establishing a committee for secret ballot voting — which did not receive the support of the former opposition parties. The microphones of MPs from these parties were cut off, though they continued speaking and clashing with Vetëvendosje MPs.

There were 103 MPs present in the hall.

MP Vlora Çitaku from the Democratic Party of Kosovo requested that the chair of the constitutive session, Avni Dehari, return to the agenda.

MP Hykmete Bajrami from the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) also had her microphone turned off, though she continued speaking, clashing with Vetëvendosje MPs.

The chair of the constitutive session, Avni Dehari, announced the session was being interrupted without the Assembly being constituted.

The Constitutional Court has imposed a temporary measure from July 27 to August 8, during which MPs are prohibited from taking any action or making any decisions related to the constitution of the Assembly. / Sh. Pajaziti
