It has been five years since the Law on Gender Equality has been approved in the Assembly of Kosovo, but the MPs do not respect it. This is because the representation of women on the boards of public enterprises, institutions and independent agencies, which are voted by MPs, is continuing to be very low.

In addition to their vote, it is being seen to be the bodies themselves that recruit candidates aiming for any of the public posts.
