The US: The dialogue should end with mutual recognition, the mandate of UNMIK should end
The United States of America has reiterated its support for the dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade that should end with mutual recognition. Ambassador Robert Wood, alternative representative of the US for Special Political Affairs at the UN, stated that the US supports the European path of Kosovo as well as all other countries of the Western Balkans.
At the session of the Security Council for Kosovo, Wood said that Kosovo and Serbia should seriously engage in dialogue and wished for reaching a consensus on the license plate issue.
Ambassador Wood said that the Western Balkans needs stability and dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia is a key component, asking both countries to avoid inflammatory statements.
