The unionists warn of general strikes

The Union of Independent Trade Unions of Kosovo (UITUK) protested today in front of the building of the Government of Kosovo. They demanded an addition of 100 euros until the adoption of the Law on Salaries, the implementation of the Law on Health Insurance, and the amendment of the Law on Social Schemes. If this does not happen, they warned the executive that they will take more radical measures, up to the general strike.

The meeting point of hundreds of workers at noon on Friday became the yard of the National Library, where they marched towards the Government of Kosovo. Among the protesters, the president of UITUK, Atdhe Hykolli, said the government should work with unions in order to find a solution...
