The Ukrainian journalist who is staying in Kosovo, Daria Mescheriakova, says that Ukraine is closer than ever to recognizing Kosovo's independence. According to her, the most suitable time for recognition would be when Kosovo receives candidate status for the Council of Europe.

The Ukrainian journalist, whose country has been facing Russian military aggression since February 24, says Ukraine's victory will also mark the end of Russian influence.

In an interview for KosovaPress, she also talks about the fragile situation between Kosovo and Serbia, for which she emphasizes that she does not see any danger, since Serbia cannot do anything without Russia, while the latter is focused on the war in Ukraine.

Occurring in a new global situation, Mescheriakova says that there are two moments when her country could recognize Kosovo.
