The TAK inspector suspected of bribery appears before the Court in Mitrovica

The inspector of the Tax Administration of Kosovo (TAK) in Mitrovica with the initials Q.M., appeared on Friday before the judge at the Basic Court in Mitrovica, to face the request of the Prosecution for detention. He is suspected of having committed the criminal offense of receiving a bribe.

Together with the inspector, the other suspect with the initials S.S., from Novi Pazar, Serbia, who is suspected of the criminal offense of bribery, is expected to appear before this court today. The session is taking place closed to the public, while it is expected that the decision of the Basic Court in Mitrovica on this case will be taken in the late hours of the day.

Otherwise, the Basic Prosecutor's Office in Mitrovica, Department of Serious Crimes, has submitted a request for the appointment of detention for the two suspects, as there is a suspicion based on the fact that they have committed criminal offenses from article 421 and 422 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo, namely the criminal offenses of giving and receiving bribes.

According to the announcement of the Prosecutor's Office, the TAK inspector in Mitrovica is suspected of having accepted the sum of 135 euros from the other party, in order not to act in accordance with his official duty.
