The Independent Trade Union of the Private Sector of Kosovo has filed a lawsuit against the Assembly of Kosovo and the company "Schalberger", regarding the payments of workers during the strike that they have been holding since last year to express their dissatisfaction due to low salaries.

The president of this union, Jusuf Azemi, emphasized that based on the assessments of the inspectorate and professionals of this nature, their demands were legitimate and they expect a decision from the court as soon as possible regarding the case.

For the months of November, December and January, Azemi said that there are about 1 thousand 200 euros for each person that the company in question must pay, while he expressed the workers' concern regarding the non-payment. According to him, it is not their problem if the company has problems in the Parliament of Kosovo.

The workers protested for more than nine weeks, until the Parliament changed the contract with the operator, allowing the worker to have a salary of 400 euros. Meanwhile, the company fired them, replacing them with other workers.
