The roof of the new municipality building of Prishtina was brought down by strong winds, the damages will be compensated

The Director for Security and Emergency in the Municipality of Prishtina, Lulëzim Fushtica, said that according to preliminary investigations by the Kosova Police and emergency inspectors, the roof of the new Municipality building fell as a result of strong winds.

In a statement to the media, Fushtica said that there was no work in this building during this time, adding that after this case, the building was closed and the workers went home, whereas the institutions are carrying out their work in the investigation of the case.

He said that they feel sorry and sympathize with the girl, who was injured as a result of this incident.

The Director for Safety and Emergency in the Municipality of Prishtina, emphasized that they can confirm that at the time the incident occurred, there were no workers working in the building or on the roof.

He added that some cars were damaged, which according to him could belong to citizens, while adding that all damages will be compensated based on the law in force, but the assessment must be done.

Meanwhile, the Emergency Center at the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (UCCK) told KosovaPress that the patient suffered serious bodily injuries and that her condition is life-threatening.

The Director of Emergency, Naser Syla, said that after the examinations, the patient is expected to be sent to the Central Intensive Care Unit to continue the medical treatment.
