The rise in prices has also affected the pharmaceutical sector but not as much as other sectors
The prices of pharmaceutical products were not immune to the increase in the prices of essential food products and other products, but compared to the high growth rate of other products, the prices of medicines did not increase significantly. This is what they say in the Kosovo Chamber of Pharmacists, where according to them small changes in prices are mainly observed in medicines needed for chronic treatment.
The Association for the Protection of Patients' Rights and members of the Parliamentary Committee on Health and Social Welfare say that the prices of pharmaceutical products are changing due to the inflation that Kosovo is facing. But in addition to this concern, they complain that the list of essential medicines is not fulfilled and this is further burdening patients economy.
And although they did not want to speak in front of the camera, for KosovaPress, owners of some pharmacies in the capital have said that there is a small increase of prices for pharmaceutical products.
