Although there was no special program, among the approximately 12 thousand visitors during 2023, the National Museum of Kosovo was also visited by kindergarten children.

In addition to the renovation, restoration, and treatment of the museum fund that is expected to begin in 2024, a special program for this age group is also required, so that they be as satisfied as possible.

In an interview for KosovaPress, the director of the National Museum of Kosovo, Vjollca Aliu, says that until the middle of December 2023, the number of visitors is 11,451.

She says that over three thousand people have visited the Ethnological Complex "Emin Gjiku", whereas around four thousand others have visited the Museum "House of Independence of Kosovo Dr. Ibrahim Rugova".

Aliu mentions that in addition to the tasks and priorities for 2024, they are obliged to draw up a program for kindergarten children.

The need to start the renovation, restoration and treatment of the National Museum of Kosovo is considered more than necessary by the director, Vjollca Aliu.

She hopes that during 2024, the project for the restoration of the Museum will be a priority of the Ministry of Culture.

The Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Hajrulla Çeku, says that there is already a final project for the general restoration of the building of the National Museum of Kosovo.

He adds that the project has passed the stages of evaluation by the commission of the Kosovo Institute for the Protection of Monuments and very soon the procedures for engaging the operator for the restoration of the building will begin.

Çeku points out that the central part of the renovations are warehouses, spaces where exhibits, artifacts and the museum collection are stored. He believes that with these works, conditions will be created for better and more dignified preservation of the museum's property.

Among the most special exhibitions, director Vjollca Aliu considers the photographs of photographers Afrim Hajrullahu and Alban Bujari, while evaluating other exhibitions as good.
