Lawyer Artan Qerkini has declared for the raid on the house of the former commander-in-chief of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), Sylejman Selimi.

Qerkini emphasized that Selimi does not have the status of a suspect, but according to him, the raid was carried out because it is thought that there may be evidence in his house that was related to the criminal proceedings for obstruction of justice.

He said that he has reservations about the raid order, because as he said, it was not issued in accordance with the legal provisions, which, according to him, violates the privacy of people.

Lawyer Qerkini did not provide details on whether anything was found during the raid at Selimi's house.

Today it was reported that the house of the former Minister of Justice, Hajredin Kuçi, was raided by Specialist Chambers, but he denied such a thing, saying that there was a communication about the work he does at Specialist Chambers.

The acting chairman of the War Veterans Association of Kosovo Liberation Army (WVA KLA), Faton Klinaku, reacted to the raid on Sylejman Selimi's house.
