On the occasion of May 1, International Workers' Day, the Trade Union Federation of Technical Workers of the Private Sector of Kosovo organized a protest in Pristina and called on the government to increase the minimum salary to 450 euros and to have equal treatment with public sector employees.

The protesters also warned of leaving the country if their demands are not met.

The chief trade unionist, Jusuf Azemi, said that the Government of Kosovo has forgoten all the promises made to the workers of the private sector during the campaign, as according to him, it has not done anything in this direction.

Azemi asked the government to take the demands of the private sector as a basis, otherwise it will be too late, since as he said, most will migrate if the conditions are not met.
