The Presidency of the Assembly of Kosovo has not supported the opposition's request to continue the work of the Parliamentary Investigative Committee on state reserves for another three months. This was considered by the opposition as one of the worst days of parliamentary life in Kosovo.

The head of the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Arben Gashi, accused the ruling party Vetëvendosje of having set a bad precedent in the Assembly, damaging one of the main pillars of democracy in Kosovo.

Criticism was also expressed by the head of the Parliamentary Group of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Besnik Tahiri, who said that the majority tends to block the work of the opposition.

The head of MPs of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, has denied the opposition's accusations, saying that they are insincere in the political discussion with the majority.

In addition, the Presidency has decided that the Assembly of Kosovo will hold two plenary sessions next week.
