The Kosovo Police during the raid on the house of the suspect with the initials R.V. (1981) in the village of Granican in the Municipality of Leposaviq, where in a room of the house, about 23 planted plants suspected of being cannabis with a length of 40 cm to 1.85 cm were found and seized, as well as other items needed for the improvisation of the laboratory. The suspect was identified and arrested at the border point in Jarinje.

The Kosovo Police announces that yesterday around 07:30, it received relevant information that in the house of the suspect with initials; R.V. (1981) in the village of Granican, Leposaviqi Municipality, was suspected of having an improvised laboratory for the cultivation of cannabis plants.

"Immediately, the Anti-Drug Unit of the KP (DHTN North Mitrovica ) in coordination and assisted by police officers of the Regional Directorate in North Mitrovica have carried out a raid/control operation in that location where during the raid in a room of the house, about 23 planted plants suspected to be cannabis with a length of 40 cm to 1.85 cm, as well as other items needed for the improvisation of the laboratory (ventilation, etc.) were found and seized. The necessary forensic procedures have been carried out, while the competent prosecutor has been informed about the case and with his instructions, some samples are taken from the plants to be sent to the laboratory, while the rest are destroyed by his order. The suspect at the time of the police operation was not at home/location, but after an exchange of information and coordination of police actions, the aforementioned suspect with the initials R.V. (1981) around 7:30 p.m. was identified and arrested at the border point in Jarinje", says the Police communique.

The same person, by decision of the State Prosecutor, is assigned the measure of police detention of 48 hours for further legal procedures.
