In the general hospital "Sami Haxhibeqiri" in Mitrovica, the pediatric ward was inaugurated today, attended by the Prime Minister of the country, Albin Kurti and the Minister of Health, Arben Vitia.

Prime Minister Kurti expressed his happiness that, together with his colleagues, he is in Mitrovica today, at the inauguration of this ward. He said that the investment in this ward amounts to about 1 million euros, half of which is from the "Mother Teresa" association, from Germany, and the other half from the Association “Orphans of the Balkans”

According to him, unlike in the past where there was only one room with seven beds, now there will be 11 rooms with 25 beds and with modern, state-of-the-art equipment.

On the other hand, the director of the hospital in Mitrovica, Laura Nushi, thanking Prime Minister Kurti and the Ministry of Health, who enabled the operation of the pediatric ward, said that today is a big day for the city of Mitrovica and the children of this city.

She promised that the staff here will be more engaged in providing assistance to the patients who will be treated in this ward.

Moreover, this pediatric facility was built in 2016 with the help of a humanitarian organization, but due to some irregularities in the works, it has not been able to be functional until today.
