On the eve of the meeting of the Prime Minister, Albin Kurti with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic in Brussels, the opposition parties ask Kurti that the final goal of the dialogue should be mutual recognition. According to them, the head of government should not divert Kosovo's many years of efforts so that mutual recognition is at the center of the agreement and not only the normalization of relations through the Brussels Basic Agreement and the Ohrid annex.

The opposition asks the executive to convince the partners, including the United States of America, not to change their position regarding mutual recognition as the final goal of the dialogue.

The MP of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Blerta Deliu, told KosovaPress that the government's approach to dialogue should be well coordinated with Kosovo's allies.

Speaking about the Brussels Basic Agreement and the Ohrid annex reached last year, MP Deliu says that Kurti should not even discuss an agreement where de jure recognition is not at its center.

She criticizes the prime minister who brought a bad agreement for Kosovo with autonomy for Serbs in the north.

Criticism for the deviation of the dialogue process is also addressed by the LDK MP, Rrezarta Krasniqi, who told KosovaPress that the Kurti Government no longer talks about mutual recognition, but only of the implementation of the Brussels agreement, which, according to its primary principle, has autonomy for the Serbs in Kosovo.

Meanwhile, the AAK MP, Time Kadrijaj, says that Prime Minister Kurti should insist that the dialogue ends with mutual recognition, despite the Brussels agreement and the Ohrid annex.

The Kurti-Vucic meeting in Brussels on June 26 was also confirmed by the Government of Kosovo. According to them, this meeting will discuss the implementation of the Brussels Basic Agreement and the Ohrid annex. This is the first meeting after the terrorist attack in Banjska of Zveçan that happened in September 2023.
