The opposition calls the statements on drafting a new draft for the Association a political maneuver
The opposition parties and the civil society are considering political maneuvers and late declarations by the authorities that the government will draw up a draft statute of the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority. According to them, the executive's approach to dialogue is detrimental to the strengthening of subjectivity and the completion of the dialogue process.
The MP of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Armend Zemaj, tells KosovaPress that such attitudes of the government are not serious and that they are being made only for the electoral campaign.
Meanwhile, according to the AAK MP, Time Kadrijaj, the Government of Kosovo through political maneuvers is trying to avoid sending the draft statute of the Association, proposed by the Euro-American diplomats, to the constitution.
She said that besides this, the statements of the rulers that Kosovo will draw up its own draft for the Association are late, since Kurti has accepted the same within the framework of the Brussels and Ohrid agreement.
On the other hand, the executive director of the ‘ÇOHU’ Movement, Arton Demhasaj, tells KosovaPress that the tendencies that the Government will now propose a draft for the association's statute are political amateurism.
According to him, the executive had the opportunity to do such a thing a long time ago, but it ignored the demands of the international factor and especially of the USA.
The Speaker of the Assembly, Glauk Konjufca, said a few days ago that the European Union does not have the competence to propose to Kosovo a draft statute for the establishment of the Association. According to him, the Government will at the right moment propose its own draft for the establishment of the association.
During this week, the EU's special representative for dialogue, Mirsolav Lajcak, stayed in Kosovo. He emphasized the need to implement the Brussels and Ohrid agreement between Kosovo and Serbia.
