On May 28, the One Stop Shop system will be officially launched at the Jazhnicë border crossing between North Macedonia and Kosovo.

This system is a modern model of integrated border control, which facilitates the movement of citizens and goods between the two countries with only one inspection by the host country.

The spokesperson for the Government of North Macedonia, Venera Azizi, said in a statement to KosovaPress that besides facilitating movement, this system also means increased security and economic development.

“This system, which we have implemented in Bllacë and Jazhnicë, represents a connecting bridge that facilitates the movement of citizens and goods, and it also means increased security and economic development. Meanwhile, we will immediately continue by introducing the One Stop Shop system at Tabanovcë and Qafë Thanë, and with this, we will further complete the One Stop Shop system at other border crossings between North Macedonia and the countries bordering our country,” said Azizi.

Furthermore, Azizi added that according to data from April and May of last year and this year, there were 550,000 crossings in 2024, while in 2025 there were over 776,000 crossings.

“If we compare the data coming from border control of citizens and goods for the same period from April 12 to May 26, in 2024 there were 550,000 crossings, whereas in the same period in 2025 we have over 776,000 crossings, so the crossings have visibly increased by more than 200,000 crossings during this period compared to last year,” she added.

This system was also introduced months ago at the border crossing with Bllacë - Han i Elezit.

Besides institutional representatives from the authorities of North Macedonia, the acting Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, will also be present at this event.
