The number of beneficiaries from the following pension schemes is increasing

In December of last year, compared to December 2023, there was an increase in the number of beneficiaries from the scheme for financial support to families with children with disabilities by 14.5 percent, the Kosovo Security Force pension scheme by 11. 9 percent, the compensation scheme for education workers who worked during the 1990/91 school year to the 1998/99 school year, by 5.1 percent.

According to the Kosovo Agency of Statistics, the Kosovo Protection Corps (KPC) pension scheme also increased by 3.9 percent, the Paraplegic and Tetraplegic Pensions scheme by 2.9 percent, the pension scheme for persons with disabilities by 2.9 percent, the basic old-age pension scheme by 2.9 percent and the scheme for war veterans by 0.3 percent, KosovaPress reports.

Meanwhile, according to KAS, in December 2024, compared to December 2023, there was a decrease in the number of beneficiaries from: the Trepça pension scheme by 20.8 percent, the disability pension scheme by 14.9 percent and the social assistance scheme by 11.1 percent.
