This year, the number of asylum seekers in Kosovo has increased. Exactly 324 foreign citizens have sought asylum, while the majority are citizens of Morocco, Syria and Afghanistan. Most of them try to cross illegally into Kosovo. The Asylum Center in Magure, Lipjan, offers all services for these migrants, but they see Kosovo only as a transit country. This center accommodates hundreds of people a year, where other health services, food, hygiene packages, clothing, as well as the provision of Albanian language and computer courses are also provided. In the center that has a capacity for 100 people, about 30 migrants have stayed in the last few days. The director of the Asylum Center in Magure, Lipjan, Fitim Zariqi tells KosovaPress about the number of people who have sought asylum since the beginning of the year.
