The new law on general elections, Radoniqi: Its implementation will be challenging in the February 9 elections
In order to advance services for voters, political subjects and election observers, the CEC software was developed today with the support of the OSCE mission. This software was presented in the spaces of the "1 October" hall, while the voting process was simulated. The Chairman of the Central Election Commission, Kreshnik Radoniqi, said that with the new Law on General Elections, the election process has undergone fundamental changes. According to him, the implementation will be challenging in the parliamentary elections of February 9, 2025.
The Chairman of the CEC, Kreshnik Radoniqi, said that they have become an active part of the electoral reform process led by the Assembly of Kosovo.
Radoniqi added that the CEC is committed to the advancement of the electoral process and that it is taking steps in the digitization of electoral operations.
The head of the OSCE mission in Kosovo, Michael Davenport, said that the implementation of this software is an important step for improving efficiency.
With the implementation of this software, Davenport added that it will be possible to manage elections more easily and that results will be provided in due time.
