The empty cartridge proves the resistance that has been made for three days. The weapon of the heroic mother, Sala Jashari, was recently found in the house where she guarded the soldiers for years. She faced the Serbian enemy until the last bullet, in the house where she and 14 other family members were killed. Sala and Hamit were brought to life in bronze at the entrance to the courtyard of the house, which is still today a testimony of Serbian terror. For KosovaPress, the former KLA soldier, who stayed in this house the day before March 5, confesses. She says that she would like to have the fate of all those who fell for freedom.

Whenever Prekazi is visited, at the entrance of the Jashari neighborhood, Sala and Hamiti are waiting to give the feeling of sacrifice for the homeland.

26 years after the fighting in the Jashari family, the weapon of Sala Jashari, who for years served as a guard for the KLA soldiers, has been found, her granddaughter Sala talks about this.

Sala Jashari, who was born after the fighting in Prekaz, is proud of her grandparents' bronze busts near home.

Every time she passes by the Jashari neighborhood, Hamidja remembers mother Sala with whom she last greeted the day before the fighting started in the house of Hamit and Sala.

Hamide Ferizi-Xhemajli from the village of Abri of Drenas speaks with emotion about the relations she had with Sala and Hamit.

For Hamide, it is a special feeling to see their figures turned into busts. For Agon Qosa, it is an honor to bring to life the figures of Sala and Hamit.

Today, the busts of Sala and Hamit were unveiled, in honor of the 26th anniversary of the Epopee of the Kosovo Liberation Army. /Sh. Pajaziti/
