One of the challenges that businesses are facing recently is the provision of environmental permits and water permits by the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure. This is due to bureaucratic procedures in this ministry, the large number of cases for treatment and the small number of staff for this work, or non-signature by the secretary general. As a result, the inspectors of the ministry, during field visits, in the absence of environmental permit, respectively water permit, give ultimatums to businesses to stop working, while this ministry itself is not providing them with the permits, although the application by of businesses is done in time for the extension of these permits. This challenge is putting businesses in an unfavorable position, where as a result of bureaucratic procedures in MESP, without their fault, they are forced to stop working and fire workers. KosovaPress has requested a direct answer from the Deputy Minister of this ministry, Hysen Durmishi, but he did not give any statement. Also, ten days ago, the editorial office addressed questions to the media office of this ministry, regarding this topic, but they did not answer.
