The chief executive vowed to work to eliminate social inequalities that hinder the economic independence of women and girls in Kosovo.
The Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu emphasized that this launch of this measure is the most important activity within the 16 days of activism against gender-based violence. She added that survivors of domestic violence are forced to return to the scene of the crime due to severe financial conditions.She added that in this initiative, the Ministry of Justice will have a key role in cooperation with the Employment Agency and shelters.
The advancement of the role of women in society, as the Minister of Finance, Hekuran Murati, said, is essential for a more advanced society. With the measure of employment of victims of domestic violence, he added that the women's confidentiality will be preserved.
In the future, he added that efforts will be made to prioritize these women in training, programs and courses to increase their skills.Minister Hekuran Murati emphasized that 190.000 women are direct beneficiaries of child allowances. He emphasized that at the beginning of their mandate, over 111 thousand women were employed, while according to him, currently over 142 thousand are declared employed.
