The minimum salary still remains 130-170 euros. Despite the promise of the Government of Kosovo for an increase in the minimum salary, this draft law continues to be delayed by the government every year. This is how the opposition MPs assess. LDK demands that the minimum wage be returned, on the grounds that it is outside the economic and social context in the country. Meanwhile, AAK considers that the government is failing to approve laws that do not suit them.

In the second reading the draft law on the minimum salary was approved by the Committee on Budget last week, but the government still has doubts whether the draft law will be processed as such in the session or if it can be withdrawn by the Government of Kosovo.
